Sandpoint, Idaho
The town of Sandpoint is located in the Idaho Panhandle, in the foothills of the Selkirk Mountains and on the shore of Lake Pend Oreille. We are a 1 1/2 hour drive from the Spokane International Airport and an hour south of the Canadian Border.
Sandpoint is a charming small town with it's own independent theater that offers live theater, live music and foreign films. Numerous coffee houses and art galleries as well as independently owned boutiques line the downtown streets.
Outdoor recreation is virtually unlimited with lake and mountain activities as well as great skiing at Schweitzer Mountain.
Schweitzer Mountain
Schweitzer Mountain overlooks the town of Sandpoint and is a 20 to 30 minute drive from town depending on the weather. The resort offers 2900 acres of skiing and snowboarding as well as 25 km of scenic cross country trails.

The mountain village at Schweitzer includes 2 ski-in/ski-out condominium lodges and about 500 homes and condominiums which are either ski-in/ski-out or very close to the slopes.

The views from Schweitzer can't be beat with great views down the valley to Lake Pend Oreille or up at the wonderful powder fields of Schweitzer Mountain. Either way, you can't lose.

Summer has become more and more busy as Schweitzer continues to add more activities and special events. The cross country trails turn into great mountain bike trails after the snow melts. Disc golf, scenic chairlift rides, and climbing wall add to the to-do list. The Bluegrass Festival and Fall Fest bring great music to the mountain.
